Our Mission
The mission of the Indiana County Manufacturing Consortium is to identify and address the needs of the participating Indiana County Manufacturers. We will accomplish this through networking, sharing ideas and by partnering with county and state government organizations and educational providers.
About ICMC
Indiana County Manufacturing Consortium is a non-profit organization that exists to assist in helping each of its members to individually, and collectively, to become successful competitors in the domestic and global market place. ICMC’s diverse membership consists of a cross section of manufacturing related companies who produce quality products and services distributed regionally, nationally and internationally. The Consortium is operated and exclusively financed by its member companies whose representatives have an equal voice on the Board of Directors, which meets monthly.
All of this helps the members of the ICMC to stay competitive in the marketplace and work cooperatively toward successful and efficient manufacturing in Indiana County.
The Membership of the ICMC realizes that in order to continue to move forward, they would need to recreate the consortium as a group led solely by its member companies. This action was accompanied by the development of a Charter Agreement, Mission Statement and the election of officers. The appointment of officers allowed the Consortium the opportunity to tackle the challenge of bringing a group of creative, diverse, dynamic, and independent individuals into a cohesive unit that would share and lever Member resources for mutual competitive benefit.
Looking toward the future, the Consortium continues its commitment to the applications of Lean Thinking. ICMC jointly sponsors events focusing on excellence and learning opportunities for its member companies. The group strives for the continued success of each individual Member; building alignment with key non-competing organizations, institutions, suppliers, associations, networks and providers.
